VISION BOARDS
Vision boards are a great way to help you focus on the things you really want out of life and can help you place your energy on positive things. Vision boards are not just for manifesting big things. Little, simple and peaceful dreams are just as important.
Creating a gratitude board is a good place to start. I have my gratitude board next to my vision board. I used my phone to write text onto pictures and printed those pictures on a free printing service. You could write your gratitude on post it notes and place them next to your vision board or have them as part of your board.

The rules for a vision board really are your own. Using Pinterest to download photos to your phone and printing those photos is a very cheap way to create a vision board. Alternately you can cut pictures out of magazines. A vision board never has to be expensive! I currently have all my boards separate but linked together all over my bedroom walls. I have created many boards over the years. At one point I had only sticky tape and a piece of cardboard, I’ve had cork boards and pins many times. Magnet boards are ok too, or even a little scrap book.

Create multiple boards for different things such as
- Ideal home
- Ideal health goals
- Ideal future self
- Career / business goals
- Gratitude
- A dream life board
- Travel destinations
- Things you’d like to learn
- Cars you like
- Outfits / personal style
- Quotes to live by
- Dream wedding / perfect date ideas
- Mental health reminders

You can mix it all up or create separate boards and have one out each week and switch or any variation of this that you choose.
If you don’t want anyone to see your board a scrap book is a good way to create a private board.
If you don’t want to create a physical board at all you can have a folder in your gallery on your phone.
Just don’t forget to look at your board every day
Vision boards help your brain to create a focus on good things

Placing your board in an area you already spend time is a helpful idea. For example, my boards are all over my bedroom walls but I choose to focus on gratitude. My gratitude board and some quotes to live by are all around my mirror. When I’m getting ready in the morning, I’m reading and absorbing all that positivity and I’m not having to make an extra or set / spare time for my boards.
If detachment works best for you or you’d like to try that method then simply make the board and put it away for 6 months.
Something in between is to look at your board once a day or once a week and put it away again.
Try all the ways and see what works best for you. It is after all, your life and your goals and your vision board.
Top tips:
- Choose what feels realistic for the next 6 or 12 months
- Focus on key areas of life most important to you
- Change the pictures whenever you want to
- Your vision board is yours, don’t try to manifest for anyone else
- Try every vision board technique until you find what works BEST for YOU!
- Do not spend money making a board, start with what you have available to you
Don’t forget to download my free mini manifestation guide, my little course/ guide has a section about vision boards and all sorts of techniques for gratitude and manifesting.

Remember that vision boards are part of manifesting and we are all manifesting all of the time by default. Remember all positive manifesting always begins with gratitude!
Gratitude is the most important part of any manifesting technique and vision boards are no exception.
If you really don’t have time to make a separate gratitude board at least place a post it note on your vision board thanking yourself and the universe! The ‘thank you’ the gratitude, that’s the magic!
MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR BOARD…
To really make the most of your vision board you can use a combination of gratitude, imagination and scripting as if you already have the things on your board.
For example, you are looking at a picture of your dream bedroom, write down:
“I am so happy and grateful now that I have my dream bedroom, it’s so cosy, I love my new bedding and blankets, I love my shelves full of all my favourite things”
Feel the feelings of having the things in your pictures to really intensify the vision board experience. Write the feelings in your script:
“I’m really enjoying how warm my bedroom is, how safe I feel, how well I sleep.”
